“She is clothed in strength and dignity” – Proverbs 31:25. She is a dreamer, a doer, a thinker, and she sees possibility everywhere. A woman after God’s own heart, highly motivated, tenacious, go-getter, she goes by the name of Nadege Julien. Born and raised in a Christian household, I learned early how to respect and honor God by trying to live righteously and to do His will. Baptized at 14, I embarked in ministry full force along the years by serving as Youth Vice-President, Church secretary, choir member, Children’s Church Director in my previous church at Christian Church of New York. As the new appointed Executive Secretary for the HMTCC organization, it is an indeed an honor to continue to do God’s work and to serve His people!
I have a passion for connecting with God and with people. The same is true for connecting people to each other and to God. I love my local Theophile church of Atlanta from which I became an active member in 2006. I have worn several hats which include being the secretary for HMTCC Leadership Missionary Team and the coordinator for Children’s Ministry while also joined in various ministries along the years. I strongly believe in the missionary dream that the HMTCC organization has been engaged in for so many years. I am encouraged by the long history our churches have of raising up leaders and sending them to the mission field by engaging in God’s mission of finding lost souls for Christ. I have had the honor of embarking on many of them and will continue to do so.
I presently live in GA since 2006, was raised in NY prior to moving to the peach state, and was born in Haiti. In 2012, I have met the love of my life, Frantz Julien. We entered in God’s covenant of marriage in 2013 while living in GA. We gave birth to two energetic boys, the Julien’s Elites, Aaron & Admyn. To be a champion for Christ, I have acquired a Doctorate degree in Christian Counseling, a Master degree in School Counseling, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Psychology. I am currently half-way through pursuing a second doctoral track in Doctor of Education in Counseling and Community Care at Liberty University specializing in Traumatology while also working on getting my LPC license as well as my NCC. With God by my side and through prayer, I believe it is possible. In Christ alone, my hope is found. My passions after God are two things- children and counseling. I have been working with children since I was fourteen whether it is at work through various titles or at church through Children’s ministry. I enjoyed mostly my work with DFACS children, which is why I went back to school to specialize in Counseling and Traumatology. It is difficult hearing these young ones’ stories of abuse and neglect but rewarding to see the positive changes in them after working with them. I want to be more equipped to counsel the population that I serve. Once fully cultivated and with God by my side, I will be effusively armed to serve the diverse population of low SES and anyone experiencing trauma. In the small amount of free time I have, I enjoy sitting outside overlooking and watching nature, listening to worship music, praising God with my family, walking, sipping coffee, reading a book, praying, or sitting quietly in a room – I love my peace and quiet! I enjoy self-care and love to do ministry in whatever capacity. My only desire is to serve God and do His will as I keep this verse in mind from Proverbs 31:30, “charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” I look forward to continuing God’s work while connecting with people by serving in the HMTCC organization while embarking this new journey!
